The Potter's House Food Program

Basket of Manna is our food distribution program that assists those who are experiencing a crisis and food insecurity. Food insecurity isn't a mild fear of future grocery shopping challenges. Food insecurity is indeed health and life threatening. The term food insecurity is used to describe real hunger and the immediate dangers that threaten health when people do not have enough to eat.* The Basket of Manna program's goal is to help eliminate hunger and improve health and well-being of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods.

  • Our food distribution program helps to meet the immediate emergency needs of families and individuals who need food and personal item until they are able to get assistance from other helps organizations.
  • We treat all relationships with respect.
  • We receive support from our community partners.

Our diverse group of volunteers along with The Potter’s House Staff sort and stock pantry shelves as well as divide bulk donations into family portions.

How can you help?

  • Donate canned / dry food, adult and baby personal care items
  • Help pick up donated food from collection sites
  • Divide large quantities of food into smaller portions to be distributed through other community agencies
  • Donate gallon size zip lock bags
  • Sort and shelve donated food
